My first employer, a results and people-oriented scale-up, constantly tailored its approach to the changing needs of its customer base. I worked with them for five years, holding various roles in various locations and helping the company grow from €8 to 115 million in turnover.
I learnt how to prioritise results, people and the customer.
Strategy and cultural change
My role at my next employer was in HR and strategy. My brief was to transform the organisation and increase our turnover from €25 to 40 million and EBITDA from 8% to 16%.
I learnt how to implement a strategy and change the organisational culture while focusing on the interplay between the various departments and mentoring/working in partnership with the CEO.
Leadership and mentoring
I then served as the interim CEO of an organisation with 250 employees that was going through a rough period. My goal was to quickly shift focus to the right operations to turn the tide, keep people on board and build the foundation for future growth.
I learnt how to manage departments such as operations, finance, sales & marketing, maintenance and HR. I experienced first-hand how quickly you can achieve results if you restore trust within an organisation.
Today
A lifelong learner, I continue to expand my knowledge, with an Executive MBA & MSc in Innovation Management from
HEC Paris and a Master's in HR Management at Vlerick.
I surround myself with experienced been there, done that colleagues who are constantly teaching me new things and insights. Together we take a broader view of the issues, delve deeper into the root causes and achieve more durable results.
